Services Concrete Repairs Investigation and testing of concrete and rendered structures to determine the cause and extent of defects and validate repair specifications prior to the implementation of remedial works. Typically, this highlights problems such as concrete and render damaged by abrasion, impact, poor compaction and reinforcement corrosion. We utilise a wide variety of cementitious products and epoxy resins to repair and rectify damaged concrete. Epoxy Crack Injection Epoxy Crack Injection is the best solution for repairing cracks in concrete. We utilise a wide variety of high-strength epoxy resins which get injected into the cracks. Syringe Injectors are used to provide a means of injecting epoxy resin into a crack under constant pressure until the resin has set. This system ensures that the crack will be thoroughly filled with epoxy resin, making the crack not only structurally sound but preventing water intrusion and subsequent spalling. In remedial situations, structural leak sealing can be achieved by means of injecting hydroactive resin based grout materials. Using specially developed equipment, appropriate materials are injected into cracks, joints or other defected areas in structures such as water containment and treatment structures, tank storage bunds, tunnels, pump wells, leaking pipes, swimming pools, garden beds, lift pits, basements, manholes and culverts etc where water ingress or egress is evident. Hydroactive resins react expansively when in contact with water in a crack or joint to form a foam or gel seal, hence rapidly reducing and eliminating water penetration. Variations in resin formulation allow injected resin to react rapidly to deal with situations where water flow is high, or remain flexible where ongoing movement is anticipated. Resins have also been formulated to enable water penetration through the finest cracks in concrete structures to be effectively sealed. Other areas of expertise are available to deal with other forms of leakage, such as, through joints in large diameter pipes and precast tunnel structures. Other applications include waterproofing to resist negative pressures (such as in basements), waterproofing expansion joints subject to high levels of movement (such as in sectional water storage tanks, on podium roofs and car parks and bridge structures). We are able to rectify leaks in concrete structures with very little disruption to the facility or site without costly downtime being experienced and the requirement for expensive excavations. Waterproofing Waterproofing is the application of an impervious barrier to surfaces to stop water penetrating from localised areas into other parts of the building where damage can occur. These are either internal (toilets, bathrooms, en-suites, laundries, basements, underground car parks, etc.) or external areas (planter boxes, podiums, retaining walls, etc.). In addition they can be flat areas of concrete. Whether you just want to change the look of your property or you need a coating for its non-slip features, protective coatings are a great investment to any property big or small. We offer a variety of different protective coatings depending on your requirements/needs. Joint sealants are used to seal joints and openings between two or more substrates. The main purpose is to prevent air, water, and other environmental elements from entering or exiting a structure while permitting limited movement of the substrates. |
